On November 24, sponsored by The Center for Language Education and Cooperation of The Ministry of Education, and organized by Jilin Animation Institute, A Century of Chinese Animation, Building the Future with Chinese Language - Jilin Animation Institute International Winter Camp Online Group Exchange Program successfully concluded!

At the closing ceremony, a project review video led the students to relive the wonderful moments of this winter camp. Through the five-day Chinese live course and animation recorded course content, the students learned from “Chinese architecture” to “Peking Opera”, from “Chinese Poetry” to “Chinese Clothing”, and from “Chinese Cuisine” to “Chinese Animation”. The students “Read Together”, “Appreciated Culture”, “Speak Chinese” and “Learn Animation”, feeling the beauty of Chinese culture together, which enhanced the students’ interest in Chinese animation art and perceived the breadth and depth of Chinese history and culture.

Wang Bingbing, a teacher from School of International Exchange of JAI, gave a speech at the closing ceremony as a project course teacher representative. She was very pleased with the students’ enthusiasm for learning in class and their serious attitude towards completing their homework. Teacher Wang said: “Although we met for the first time, the Chinese Bridge, a bridge of culture and friendship, connects us. Our common love for Chinese culture and language makes us like old friends. The students’ active enthusiasm for learning in class and every carefully submitted assignment made me feel the pride of being a national cultural communicator and the happiness of being a teacher. I hope that I will have the opportunity to participate in the Chinese Bridge project in the future and and learn together with Chinese culture enthusiasts from all over the world”.

After Chinese Bridge project courses, a total of 20 students were selected as excellent students based on their participation in the project and completion of homework. At the closing ceremony, excellent student representatives spoke actively and talked about their learning feelings and gains.

Su Meiling, an excellent student from Myanmar, said: “In the recorded and live classes, we learned the knowledge of AI technology application and innovation, and gained an in-depth understanding of the knowledge of Chinese architecture. These courses have benefited us a lot. It not only broadens our knowledge, but also stimulates our creativity.”

Huang Changshan, an excellent student from Vietnam, said: “In this wonderful winter camp, I not only learned a wealth of Chinese knowledge, but also gained an in-depth understanding of the rich history and cultural connotation of Chinese animation. Through wonderful live courses and recorded courses, we can feel the charming of Chinese animation and the powerful power of Chinese as an important language.”
