Recently, The Cultural and Creative Product Design Exchange Workshop TTU & JAI ended successfully.
This activity was jointly sponsored by Jilin Animation Institute and Tatung University, and was held in Changchun and Taipei simultaneously through video link. In the two-day Cultural and Creative Product Design Exchange Seminar, teachers and students took the cross-strait cultural and creative product design as the theme to carry out cultural exchanges and design sharing activities between the two places. The project integrates Taiwan's design concept and is based on Jilin's regional culture, which is conducive to promoting the exchange and integration of different cultures across the cross-strait region and promoting the ideological integration between regions, It is of great significance to further deepen cross-strait cultural and creative product design and development.

This design workshop gathers the design strength and talent resources of Changchun and Taipei, builds a bridge between Jilin and Taiwan through cultural creativity, promotes the youth across the Straits to strengthen exchanges and learn from each other, and continuously injected new momentum into the cultural exchanges between Jilin and Taiwan. In the future, the School of Design of Jilin Animation Institute will continue to adhere to the three school running characteristics of "Openness and International Orientation, Integration of Education, Research and Industry; Technicalization of Creative Products", comprehensively deepen the six development strategies of "Socialization Function, Global Perspective, Entrepreneurial Thinking, Marketization Awareness, Industrial System, Commercialized Value", and cultivate high-quality application-oriented talents in design for the country and local areas.

He believed that cultural and creative design is a kind of life, seeking derived value from life. With the development of society, cultural and creative design can keep pace with the times. It has innovative ideas and integrated attitudes. With the progress of science and technology and the renewal of lifestyle, cultural and creative industries will constantly update its forms of expression, and with its development, the added value of its connotation will continue to increase, and obtain a higher level of industrial value.
Hsu Kuang Chieh, vice president of the School of Design of Jilin Animation Institute, shared the theme of Cultural Creative Design - From Concept to Product. He said that cultural creative products must pay attention to spiritual significance and give cultural creative design higher value than products. In fact, cultural innovation is mainly composed of intangible assets, which is also the most important core content different from general products. The so-called intangible assets refer to some activities formed in our long history, such as customs, food culture, symbols, etc. They affect our life, tangible or intangible, all the time.
Kim Tae Kyung, a Korean professor from the School of Design of Jilin Animation Institute, shared the theme under the title of Trend Analysis and Theme Direction of International Design Contest. He summarized eight hot topics of international competitions based on his years of experience in teaching international competitions around the trend and characteristics of international design competitions, providing direction for subsequent students to participate in the competitions. Professor Kim elaborated on the teaching method of taking competitions widely recognized by teachers and students as design courses through match assisted teaching, so that students can gain more different learning experiences, cultivate their innovative thinking ability, effectively improve students' design ability and computer level, and enhance their willingness to participate in competitions.
Professor Chu Po-Ying, The Dean of the Department of Design of Tatung University, shared the theme under the title of "Aesthetic Economy and Design Thinking". Professor Chu believed that in the era of aesthetic economy, cultural and creative design needs to start from itself and think deeply about how to transform from aesthetic style imitation to aesthetic value innovation, form linkage with users, and jointly create the connotation of brand aesthetic spirit. Through aesthetic design thinking and product meaning innovation, we will constantly improve the aesthetic value of cultural and creative products and create an IP brand with international competitiveness.
Professor Wang Yaping from the School of Design of Jilin Animation Institute shared the theme of "Chinese Traditional Art is the Source of Contemporary Cultural and Creative Products". She said that in the design, we need to focus on the cultural use and commemoration of the products, use the design method of creative association, develop the connection point between traditional folk art and college culture, and the memory point of university cultural and creative products relying on traditional folk art, highlight the impressive characteristics of the product.
