On December 3rd, the second season of the micro short film "The Killer’s Not Quite Right", a Republic of China period drama, officially started filming in the Guoerluo Prince’s Manor in Songyuan, Jilin Province. This project is a collaboration between Jilin Animation Institute, Jilin JAI Vixo Pictures Co., LTD., and Beijing SHE DREAM PICTURES CO., LTD.

  The second season of "The Killer’s Not Quite Right" continues the adventure and humor from the first season, with new innovations in visual effects and narrative depth. Set during the Puppet Manchukuo period, the story follows Jin Shu, a low-born student who admires Lin Xi, a progressive revolutionary. She joins Lin in resisting invaders and feudal forces. Through humor, a group of seemingly insignificant characters unite to prevent the puppet government and invaders from plundering antique treasures. The series takes viewers on a suspense-filled, thrilling adventure across Northeast China, awakening national consciousness and patriotism, symbolizing the Chinese people's resistance against imperialism and feudalism.

  The filming location is the historic Guoerluo Prince’s Manor in Songyuan, Jilin Province, a Mongolian feudal aristocratic estate with over 300 years of history. The grand palace-like architecture, with its imposing and well-structured design, perfectly complements the film’s theme and style, adding a rich historical and cultural depth to the production.

  Jilin Animation Institute focuses on the creation and production of micro films, micro short dramas, and micro videos, practicing an integrated talent cultivation model of "teaching, research, and industry," while deepening the integration of industry and education. This project is part of the school’s efforts to implement its "Micro Film, Micro Short Drama, and Micro Video Research Institute" and aligns with the national "Cultural Power" strategy. The institute continues to create large platforms for both faculty and students, contributing to the development of new productive forces in the film and television industry.
