Recently, the 8th Milan Design Week -- Excellent Works of Teachers and Students of Chinese University Design, a national top-level discipline competition of A1 class, came to a perfect end. Cuju Information Visualization Design under Digital Intangible Vision created by Guo Jingyu and Li Jiajun, students of School of Design of Jilin Animation Institute, won the national first prize, and teacher Li Can won the award of “Excellent Instructor”. In this competition, our school won 1 first prize in the national competition (non-proposition competition), and there are 3 first prize, second prize and third prize in Jilin Province.

     Cuju Information Visualization Design under Digital Intangible Vision

Design Concept

     Throughout the five thousand years of China, the Chinese people have created a splendid Chinese civilization with their extraordinary wisdom and hard work. Among them, Cuju is not only a sport, but also a cultural symbol and a crystallization of national wisdom. The information visualization design was carried out from five aspects, including the origin of the development, method, and the clothing of Cuju. Each unit would have a separate menu and show the dynamic design of related units. By using information visualization methods to excavate and utilize Cuju cultural knowledge, we can effectively help the audience to correctly understand, reconstruct and remember the intangible cultural heritage through easy-to-accept communication methods and means, and promote the protection and inheritance of Cuju intangible cultural heritage.
