Jilin Animation Institute has always adhered to the school-running characteristics of “Openness and International Orientation, Integration of Education, Research and Industry; Technicalization of Creative Products”. Relying on the construction of the national-level innovation and entrepreneurship college and the industrial practice teaching base, it fully integrates innovation and entrepreneurship education into the entire process of talent training, and is committed to creating a broad and diversified innovation and entrepreneurship practice platform for students. The opening of the school-enterprise cooperation practice base attracted more than 500 students to participate enthusiastically, and they participated in more than 20 industrial projects and more than 30 innovative and entrepreneurial projects, including the animation film system Freya and Zootopia, the game system Changbai Awakening, and the film and television system Battle of Mountains and Seas and The Killer Is Not OK, covering many fields such as animation and games, design, film and television, virtual reality and artificial intelligence, cultural and business management and marketing.

    Yuan, a student majoring in Digital Media Art from School of Game, participated in the scene model production of  Changbai Awakening game project in the practice of Jilin JAI Pangu Network Science and Technology Co., LTD. Under the guidance of experienced corporate tutors, after repeated learning and production, he designed a series of model works that were both complete and full of characteristics. Not only did he consolidate his professional skills, but also learned how to play his personal advantages in teamwork, which made a big step forward in his professional ability in scene and prop model production.

     Liu, a student majoring in Animation from School of Animation Arts, participated in the 3D lighting design module of the animation series Zootopia project in Jilin JAI TianBo Film and TV Production Co., LTD. By studying the essence and techniques of animation lighting design, he successfully created a diverse visual experience for the film and gained a deeper understanding of the performance and application of 3D lighting in animation films. Through this practice, he deeply realized that lighting was not only a tool to illuminate the picture, but also a key element to convey emotions and create atmosphere. This study also further laid a solid foundation for his future study in the field of animation lighting design.

     Li, a student majoring in photography in School of Film, participated in the filming of the short drama The Killer Is Not OK originally created by Jilin Animation Institute, Jilin JAI Vixo Pictures Co., LTD., and Beijing Shimeng Yinghua Film and Television Culture Co., Ltd. He said that students participated in the creation and filming of the short drama and micro-film, from performance, stage art, production, to photography, recording, etc. The school had increased its investment to support excellent creativity, stories, teams and works, providing us with a stage to showcase our talents and the opportunity to learn from industry resources and professional guidance.

     Under the joint guidance of professional teachers and enterprise tutors, students can go deep into all aspects of the project through the summer innovation and entrepreneurship practice creation platform, gain insight into the relationship between enterprises and the market, get in touch with cutting-edge technology concepts, master practical skills, and accumulate work experience. The full opening of the summer practical teaching base is a test of students’ learning outcomes and learning abilities. The school will continue to deepen the integration of industry and education, cultivate high-quality application-oriented talents, and contribute to the development of the cultural and creative industry.
