      On March 20, Ms. Bai Lin, First Secretary and Trade Commissioner of Embassy of Canada in China, and Mr. Zhang Ke, Education Commissioner, visited Jilin Animation Institute. Liu Xin, Vice Chairman of Jilin Animation Institute, Bao Yiping, Executive Deputy Director of International Cooperation and Development Center, and others received the visiting guests.

Guests visit the school history museum

    Ms. Bai Lin and her delegation visited the school history museum, Jilin International Animation and Comics Museum, and the exhibition hall of Integration of education, research and industry achievements. During the visit, Ms. Bai Lin expressed her admiration and recognition for JAI’s development over the past 20 years. She expressed great interest in the art works displayed in the International Animation and Comic Museum and sighed at the beauty of artistic creation. She also expressed heartfelt praise for the relevant works created by teachers and students of JAI. Through the visit, the visiting guests had an in-depth understanding of JAI’s development history, school-running characteristics and school-running achievements.

    After the visit, the two parties held a friendly discussion. Liu Xin introduced the JAI’s education and international exchanges to the visiting guests, and deeply introduced the JAI’s school-running characteristics of “Openness and  International Orientation” and “Integration of Education, Research and Industry”. As well as JAI’s achievements in professional construction, innovation and entrepreneurship, film industrialization system construction and the integrated development of “Technology + Art”. The two parties discussed aspects such as cooperation with Canadian universities and enterprises. Ms. Bai Lin expressed that she would promote relevant cooperation between the school and relevant animation, film and television universities in Canada, and give full support to the cooperation between the school and Canadian higher education.

     Jilin Animation Institute has currently signed cooperation agreements with five Canadian universities including Sheridan Institute of Technology, Vancouver Film School, and Canadore College. We believe that taking this visit as an opportunity, JAI will continue to innovate international cooperation projects in the future, deepen and broaden the forms and models of cooperation with relevant higher education institutions in Canada, promote educational cooperation and exchanges between China and Canada, provide teachers and students with a variety of communication and learning resources, and enhance the international perspective of teachers and students.
