Recently, the Ministry of Education issued the “Notice of the Ministry of Education on the Announcement of the Second Batch of National First-Class Undergraduate Course Recognition Results”, two courses of our school were approved as National First-Class Undergraduate Courses. Among them, Animation Principles at the School of Animation Art was approved as a First-Class Online and Offline Mixed Course, and Game Design and Development Practice at the School of Game was approved as a First-Class Offline Course. This is the first time our school has been approved for a course with a national title.

The school attaches great importance to the construction of first-class undergraduate courses and has established two types of course construction systems: national, provincial, and school-level first-class undergraduate courses and various specialized courses (ideological and political courses, innovation and entrepreneurship education, and industry-education integration courses). The school actively cultivates and builds various excellent course projects at all levels, and continues to promote ideological and political reform of courses, teaching content reform, teaching method reform, examination evaluation reform, teaching team building, etc., which has achieved good results.

Teacher Ge Yingying from the School of Game said that the Game Design and Development Practice course was selected as a national first-class undergraduate course, which is a huge honor for the School of Game of Jilin Animation Institute and a major achievement in the construction of professional courses. In the future, the curriculum team will continue to build the connotation of the curriculum, deepen curriculum reform, give full play to the exemplary and leading role of the curriculum, and make more contributions in educating students and serving society. Teachers from the curriculum team of the School of Animation Art happily told reporters that the Principles of Animation course has a history of 21 years. Over the past 21 years, the curriculum team has continuously updated teaching content, improved teaching methods, etc., and now it has finally been approved as a national first-class undergraduate course, which is a major achievement in the curriculum reform practice of animation major. The curriculum group will take the lead of national first-class courses, continue to promote the steady improvement of course quality and teaching level, and make greater contributions to the cultivation of animation professional talents.

In the future, the school will continue to adhere to the fundamental mission of “Cultivating People with Moral Integrity”, further give play to the main role of classroom teaching, focus on the cultivation of applied talents and the construction standards of “High-Level, Innovative and Challenging”, with “Quality Course to Create Project” as the starting point, comprehensively deepen curriculum reform, attach importance to curriculum cultivation, and enrich high-quality curriculum resources. The school will improve the quality-oriented incentive mechanism for curriculum construction and the construction of grassroots teaching organizations, strive to improve teachers’ teaching capabilities, and give full play to the demonstration and leading role of the curriculum. The school will strive to improve the content of courses and the quality of talent training, further promote the steady improvement of professional construction levels, and drive more courses towards national first-class courses.
