Recently, the winners of the South Korea 2022 PIN UP Concept Design Awards were announced. Lu Hang, a student from the School of Design of Jilin Animation Institute won the Gold Prize, and Zheng Nan and Zhang Yan won the Bronze Prize.

PIN UP International Design Awards started in 1977. It is an international design competition organized by the Korean Government (South Korea’s Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy),sponsored by the Korea Industrial Design Association, and organized by Samsung Electronics, Hyundai Motor Company, and LG Electronics. The 2022 PIN UP Concept Design Awards were initially reviewed by 30 judges from academia and industry, and 15 foreign experts from South Korea, Japan, the United Kingdom and other countries will conduct the second round of review again to finally select the winning works.

It is reported that under the guidance of the instructors Jin Duijin and Wang Yipeng, the students went through two months of preparation. The entries from the perspectives of human and nature, human and society, human and science and technology, closely followed the current events, carefully observed, from the design concept, sketch, model to the final design board, continuous in-depth improvement, finally achieved the best performance in history, and achieved the breakthrough of the Gold Prize.

The good achievements of our students' works in the international competition are not only a full affirmation of the innovative ability and professional level of JAI students. It is also an important achievement of the school's practice of the teaching model of "Integration of Education, Research and Industry". It creates a practical atmosphere through the way of "promoting teaching by competition and promoting learning by competition", so that students can further deepen their understanding of theory through practice. It is of great significance for participating in international competitions to improve teachers' overall ability, grasp the trend of the industry and cultivate compound applied talents.

Streetlight Combination Fire Extinguisher / Lv Hang

Design Concept

There is a high possibility of wildfires in areas with abundant forest resources such as national parks and hiking trails. However, when a fire breaks out, it is difficult to put out the fire at the beginning due to the terrain, and it is difficult for vehicles to enter. For this reason, the product innovatively combines the fire Putting-out equipment with the street lamps in the park, which can be kept at any time. In case of fire, it can be easily separated from the street lamps, which is convenient to quickly put out the initial wildfire, avoid the spread of subsequent fires, and can play a role in preventing fire and shortening the fire putting-out time.

Emergency Ringers solution for Disaster Sites/ Zheng Nan & Zhang Yan

Design Concept

The situation at the disaster site is dangerous and highly likely to cause a second accident, making it difficult for rescue teams and medical personnel to approach. 

Traditional infusion equipment is relatively complex and not easy to carry, and it is difficult to cope with various complex terrain on the site. Therefore, the product innovatively improved infusion equipment, combined with the treatment process and the needs of the equipment, improved the structure of the infusion set, so that it is easy to carry, easy to operate, and adapt to a variety of complex terrain.
