Recently, the first China Beijing Animation Festival, hosted by the National Radio and Television Administration and the People’s Government of Beijing Municipality, officially kicked off at the Beijing Exhibition Center. With the theme of "Animation + More Wonderful Together", this event aims to "create three centers and build three platforms". By organizing eight unit activities, highlight the five bright spots of national position, cultural inheritance, original incubation, industrial ecology, and the integration of science and technology, strive to stimulate original power and market vitality, and promote the high-quality development of China's animation industry.
Jilin Animation Institute（JAI）was invited to participate in the festival with its own original design animation IP series achievements. This time, JAI participated in the festival with the theme of "New Article of Production and Education, Creative Navigation". Through the collection of award-winning animation short works of the institute, the exhibition of animation films such asFrog Kingdom,Zap’s Last Stand,andFreya, JAI fully demonstrated "integration of education, research and production" running characteristics and the achievements of the integration of production and education. By displaying the original IP series derivatives ofFrog Kingdom, the site highlights the core production capacity and market operation level of JAI, demonstrates the comprehensive integration of "education, culture, art, technology, market and consumption", comprehensively strengthens JAI's connotation development, empowers the output of iconic scientific research results, and promotes the transformation of high added-value products with the comprehensive integration of "technology + art".
On the morning of the 20th, the leaders of Jilin Radio and Television Bureau visited the exhibition hall of JAI to learn about the effectiveness of the training of professional talents for the cultural and creative industries, the achievements of the school-running characteristics "integration of education, research and production", and the output mechanism of high-quality works and market effects, and praised JAI's achievements in the integration of production and education development.
As the main content of the festival, "Animation Theme Red Carpet Show" was held in Beijing Exhibition Centre as scheduled, and 31 groups of famous animation characters such as classic works in animation history and contemporary popular IP works appeared one after another together with the creators behind the scenes. Wang Licheng, Executive Vice President of School of Innovation and Entrepreneurship of JAI, was invited to bring the IP figure ofFrog Kingdomto appear in the red carpet show and interact with the audience enthusiastically.
