Recently, The 13th China International Animation Copyright Fair (hereinafter referred to as the “Animation Copyright Fair”) was held in Dongguan City, Guangdong Province. Our school was invited to participate in this fair. The fair area is divided into four parts: film and television animation display area, comic IP creation display area, game project display area, and derivative product display area.
This fair adheres to the idea of “professionalization, industrialization, and internationalization” and focuses on the theme of “New Era of Chinese Comics, New Power of National Trends”, highlights the support for original animation and comics content and international exchanges, promotes the integration of the entire animation and comics industry, and promotes the high-quality development of the animation and comics industry. This fair effectively integrates the excellent resources of the domestic and foreign animation and comics industry and becomes a high quality business platform for the animation and comics industry integrating copyright trading, industry docking, derivatives trading and industry exchanges.

In the animation system exhibition area, animated films such asTheFrog Kingdom 1-4andLegend of the CrazyComputer Cityjointly created by teachers and students of Jilin Animation Institute are on display, as well as film and television works such asDragon InnandDreamGate. The school is based on 3D animation, film and television special effects, and physical special effects production system, with high quality technology research and development as the core, integrating talents, creativity, technology, distribution and other resources, exerting the industrial cluster effect, and creating many original animated films and film and television works;
In the comic system exhibition area, the commercial comic works driven by the industry and IP incubation operations of Jilin Animation Institute are displayed. Long-form commercial comics such asRetrospective CafeandDouble Dragonare popularly serialized on Tencent and Kuaikan comics platforms. Our school builds a complete comic star team to create comic stars, and uses comic stars to drive the construction of original comic bases. Our school will continue to attract alumni and outstanding young cartoonists to join the Rising Star system, and cultivate more outstanding high quality talents in the cartoon field for the country and local areas.
In order to maximize original animation, film and television, comics, and game IP and demonstrate the comprehensive integration of “education, culture, art, technology, market, and consumption”, the teachers and students of our school conduct commercial transformation of IP products through practical teaching in the academic-industry studio. Focusing onThe Frog Kingdom’s own IP and China’s excellent traditional culture, we create cultural and creative products such as The Frog Kingdom and Northeastern Mythical Beasts, and design and produce nearly a thousand derivative products in six major fields including culture, entertainment, life, sports, trendy toys, and electronic products. The products are sold online and offline at the same time, which are loved by the public.
During the event, JAI’s booth was very popular and all the exhibits on sale were sold out. The exhibition area of Jilin Animation Institute not only caught the attention of various visitors, but also the companies in the same industry recognized the results exhibited by our school and were interested in launching related cooperation.
