From November 6 to 9, representatives of Jilin Animation Institute took part in the 2023 CILECT Congress, which was hosted by Centro Sperimentale di Cinematographia(CSC). The Congress was held in Rome, Italy, with the theme of cultivating an audience with audiovisual literacy.

The Congress brings together film and television educational institutions and renowned film and television schools from all over the world. Bruce Sheridan, President of CILECT and Professor of Columbia College Chicago, and Stanislav Semerdjiev, Executive Director of CILECT and Professor of the National Academy for Theatre and Film Arts (NATFA), attended the conference and gave keynote speeches. Keynote speeches and workshops were given by the representatives of the official member organizations of the film and television academies. Representatives of the participating film and television schools participated in panel discussions on diversity, technology and sustainability, and discussed the development trends of the global film and television industry.

During the Congress, representatives of Jilin Animation Institute actively participated in the various agendas and activities of the Congress, and conducted in-depth exchanges and friendly discussions with globally renowned film and television colleges and universities, such as the University of Technology Sydney, the Danish Film Institute, Emerson College, and Ngee Ann Polytechnic in Singapore. Representatives also showed JAI's achievements and characteristics in the fields of film and television production, animation and digital media to other participating organizations.

In the Congress, JAI has gained a lot, not only was accepted as a full member of CILECT with a unanimous vote, but also became a member of the CAPA. In the future, JAI will continue to uphold the "openness international orientation" as its school running characteristics, deepen the exchange and cooperation with global film and television institutions, actively explore the integration and development of film and television education with science and technology and culture, and make greater contributions to the prosperity and development of the global film and television industry.
