Recently, the 15-day online short-term master workshop on "Chinese Cartoon Creation" was successfully completed. The workshop was set up by the School of Comics of JAI in accordance with the needs of professional construction and students' ability level enhancement, and Mr. Teo Chin Liong, a Malaysian cartoonist, was invited to set up the workshop, aiming at expanding students' horizons and improving their professional abilities.
During the 15 days of intensive training in the workshop, comics majors students started with comic production processes such as comic script setting and script editing, and completed 15 groups of short comic works through expert presentation, online interaction between teacher and students and after-class practice.

The students strengthened their creative ability in comics storyboarding by learning the knowledge related to new media comics, understanding the creative steps and skills of professional cartoonists, and choosing their own style, subject matter and positioning according to their own characteristics. The students gave favourable comments on the workshop, saying that they had gained a lot of valuable knowledge, understood the profession of cartoonist from a broader professional perspective, and hoped that they would have another opportunity to participate in the master workshop in the future.
