From April 24th to 28th, a group of 5 people including Chairman Zheng Liguo and Vice Chairman Liu Xin of JAI went to South Korea and visited 4 South Korean High-level universities including Konkuk University, School of Fine Arts of Seoul National University, School of Film, TV&Multimedia in Korea National University of Arts, and Yuhan University to conduct visit. The two parties shared experiences and discussed the direction of in-depth cooperation in aspects such as professional construction, teacher-student exchanges, joint project creation, and cross-integration of art and technology. This visit was meaningful and opened up a broader space for JAI’s international cooperation.

On April 24, the delegation first visited Konkuk University in South Korea, which has a friendly and cooperative relationship with JAI. On the basis of a further in-depth understanding of the characteristics of Konkuk University, the two parties reviewed and summarized past cooperation, and conducted more extensive discussions on teacher-student exchanges, joint shooting, etc. After discussion, the delegation visited School of Art and Design of Konkuk University to lay the foundation for further cooperation in the future.

On April 25, Liu Xin and others visited School of Image in Korea National University of Arts. The two parties had a full exchange on the adjustment strategies of talent training programs in the context of AI era, joint project creation between teachers and students, and visiting scholar projects. At the same time, professors from the School of Image in Korea National University of Arts were invited to come to JAI to give lectures and set up a studio. We are looking forward to carrying out cooperation in teaching and scientific research projects through mutual visits and exchanges among teachers.

On April 26, the delegation visited Yuhan University, and the two parties reached a consensus on cooperation in terms of student exchanges, joint project creation, and joint filming of micro-short plays. The two parties held an agreement signing ceremony on inter-school cooperation.

Subsequently, the delegation visited The School of Fine Arts in Seoul National University, and discussed cooperation with Dean Zheng Yizhe in terms of visiting scholars, joint exhibitions, and joint creations between teachers and students.

On April 27, the delegation met with Wu Ming, Former President of Konkuk University in South Korea and Honorary President of State University of New York in South Korea, Zheng Liguo introduced to Wu Ming the development and achievements of JAI in recent years. Wu Ming expressed his expectation to establish exchanges and cooperation between JAI and SUNY Korea.
This visit further strengthened the educational cooperation and exchanges between JAI and South Korean universities, provided teachers and students with richer academic resources, more diverse cooperation projects, and a broader cross-cultural exchange platform, and comprehensively promoted the internationalization of JAI.
Maeng Hyungjae, Vice President of JAI, Bao Yiping, Executive Deputy Director of International Cooperation and Development Center, Song Shanshan, Deputy Director accompanied the visit and participated in the above activities.
