On April 15, a delegation led by Hu Siyu, Chinese Affairs Director of Rubika in France, and Yang Zhi, General Director of China Region of Toronto Film School in Canada, came to Jilin Animation Institute for visits. Song Shanshan, Deputy Director of International Cooperation and Development Center of JAI, and others received the visiting guests.

The guests visited school history museum, Jilin International Animation and Comics Museum, and the exhibition hall of Education-Research-Industry creative achievements. During the visit, the guests expressed their admiration and recognition for the educational achievements and international education vision of JAI in the 24 years since its establishment. They were deeply attracted by JAI’s original stop-motion animationGift, original animated filmFlying Apsarasand other artistic works, and expressed their heartfelt praise. Through the visit, the visiting guests had an in-depth understanding of JAI’s development history, school-running characteristics and achievements.
Song Shanshan and others had the discussions with Hu Siyu and her delegation from Rubika in France, and Yang Zhi and her delegation from Toronto Film School in Canada. Song Shanshan introduced in detail JAI’s school-running characteristics: Openness and International Orientation, Integration of Education, Research and Industry, Technicalization of Creative Products, as well as the results achieved in international exchanges and cooperation.

The discussion with Rubika, France started from cooperation in summer camps, exchange students, graduate students, expert workshops and other projects, and conducted in-depth exchanges. Ms. Hu Siyu expressed that we would promote deeper exchanges and cooperation between the two schools in Animation, Design and Games, continuously expand the areas of cooperation, and provide diversified communication and learning resources for teachers and students of the two schools.
The discussion with Toronto Film School in Canada started with the establishment of inter-school cooperation relations, joint project production, experts classes, etc., and reached a consensus to work together to develop a richer exchange and learning platform for teachers and students of the two schools. Ms. Yang Zhi expressed that “practical-focused” characteristics of Toronto Film School in Canada coincide with the school-running characteristics of JAI’s school-running characteristics “Integration of Education, Research, and Industry ”. At the same time, she showed great appreciation for JAI’s talent training model of “choosing the major in the first and second year, and choosing the career in the third and fourth year”.
Through in-depth discussions, the foundation for international exchanges and cooperation between JAI and the two schools was laid. JAI will continuously expand areas of cooperation, effectively implement JAI’s Openness and International Orientation school-running characteristics, and accelerate the process of JAI’s high-quality “bringing in and going global” international exchanges and cooperation.
