Franck Boyer'sLecture
The academic lecture revolves around game producers and the methods of managing game projects. Frank Boyer first clarifies the core position of game producers. He points out that game producers are not only the leaders of the team, but also the consulting experts and project management service providers. He emphasizes the importance of Scrum management in game production. Producers should adopt the Scrum method to ensure the smooth progress of each stage of the project through efficient communication and responsibility allocation. For fast game projects, producers need to establish an adaptive economic model at the beginning of game production, and emphasize the importance of exposure mode and performance indicator monitoring after product release.
Frank Boyer also elaborates on the different responsibilities of producers and project managers in video game development. He points out that producers focus on overall project management, while project managers are mainly responsible for team management, task coordination, requirements analysis, and communication with all parties. The two roles complement each other and work together to ensure the smooth operation of game projects. In addition, Frank Boyer also analyzes the different roles and responsibilities of first-party producers and third-party producers in game development.
Regarding the advantages and disadvantages of SCRUM method and waterfall management method, Frank Boyer states that the SCRUM method can advance projects more efficiently within the effective time through flexible phase division and efficient customer communication. During the Q&A session, Frank Boyer answers questions carefully and patiently, and encourages students to persist in using correct and efficient methods to work hard.
