Recently, at the 9th Brussels Bright Festival 2025 organized by Visit Brussels, the workSnakecreated by Mr. Yang Zhiyong, a faculty member from the Digital Media Art major of JAI, drew significant attention."

This year's Bright Festival brought together avant-garde works from artists across multiple countries, including China, Belgium, France, the Netherlands, Spain, and Hungary, creating a dreamlike visual spectacle for audiences. A highlight of the event was "Golden Serpent Dance – 2025 Belgian Zodiac Design Competition Exhibition", jointly organized by the Chinese Embassy in Belgium, Visit Brussels, and other partners. As a key segment of the festival, the exhibition showcased 40 award-winning works from the "Global Zodiac Snake Design Competition" using immersive light-projection mapping technology on the façade of the Royal Museum of Art and History in Brussels, infusing the luminous celebration with rich Eastern charm. Among these standout pieces wasSnake, a captivating creation by Jilin Animation Institute.

Snakedemonstrates ingenious design by fusing traditional zodiac culture with contemporary digital art through a unique perspective. It vividly captures the snake's symbolic traits—agility and vitality—while evoking collective nostalgia through the iconic "Snake Game" motif. Leveraging digital media technology, the work revitalizes the traditional zodiac serpent in a modern context, blending cutting-edge aesthetics with technological innovation to pioneer fresh approaches for cultural reinterpretation.

The piece has garnered attention in international art circles, reflecting recognition of our school's creative capabilities. Its presence on the global stage highlights Jilin Animation Institute's distinctive artistic vision and underscores our ongoing commitment to bridging traditional heritage with avant-garde artistic practice.
