On May 24, a delegation of three representatives from the Faculty of Languages and Communication at Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris (UPSI), led by Professor Charanjeet, Dean of the Faculty, visited Jilin Animation Institute. The delegation was received by Ms. Bao Yiping, Assistant to the President of Jilin Animation Institute, along with other university officials.

The visiting delegation toured the University History Museum and the Jilin International Animation Museum, gaining a comprehensive understanding of the institute’s development history, educational philosophy, and notable achievements—particularly in the field of cultural and creative industries. The guests expressed high regard for the university’s innovative vision and accomplishments in higher education.

Following the tour, a formal signing ceremony was held. Ms. Bao Yiping delivered a welcome address, introducing the university’s academic positioning and disciplinary strengths. Representatives from UPSI presented an overview of their institution’s featured programs, especially in the field of art education. Both parties engaged in in-depth discussions on potential areas of cooperation, including faculty and student exchanges and joint creative projects. It was mutually agreed that there is significant room for collaboration in art-related disciplines. In the presence of representatives from both institutions, a Framework Agreement on Cooperation was officially signed.

This collaboration not only reflects both institutions’ commitment to the global trend of educational internationalization but also represents a concrete step toward deepening China–Malaysia exchange in the fields of art and creative education. Jilin Animation Institute will take this signing as a new opportunity to further enhance cooperation with Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris, jointly promoting academic exchange and the cultivation of globally competitive, innovative talents.
