I.Competition Purpose
The 8th “Snow Wolf Cup” Animation & Comic Works Competition aims to encourage original creation, build a multicultural exchange and display platform, discover and support outstanding original talents, promote the integration of animation education and industry, and drive the innovative development of animation art.

IV.Entry Categories
The competition is divided into a Professional Group and a Student Group. Entries must be works completed after September 30, 2023, and meet the entry requirements for the corresponding categories below:
(A) Professional Group: Works created by domestic and international animation companies, online video platforms, professional studios, professional creators, and university teachers.
1.Animated Feature Film: Films with a duration of no less than 60 minutes, domestic or international animated films that have obtained theFilm Public Screening Licenseissued by the National Film Administration.
2.Animated Series: Related content consisting of multiple episodes with a single episode duration of no less than 3 minutes, domestic or international animated series that have been publicly released on television and online platforms. Domestic animated series must have obtained theDomestic TV Animation Distribution Licenseissued by the provincial broadcasting bureau.
3.Animated Short Film: Original animated short films of any form, between 30 seconds and 60 minutes in duration.
4.Animation Script: Original animation scripts, limited to feature films and series.
5.Narrative Comic: Complete story content, with a total story content volume of no less than 16 pages. For long-form comics, the first chapter excerpt is acceptable. Color works are encouraged.
6.Picture Book Comic: Coherent picture book content, with a length of no less than 8 pages.
7.Comic Script: Must include a complete story outline plan, character design information, and world view setting.
(B) Student Group: Animation works created by students during their studies, submitted individually by the student or selected and submitted collectively by the school.
1.Animated Short Film: Original animated short films of any form, between 30 seconds and 60 minutes in duration.
2.Narrative Comic: Complete story content, with a total story content volume of no less than 16 pages. For long-form comics, the first chapter excerpt is acceptable. Color works are encouraged.
3.Picture Book Comic: Coherent picture book content, with a length of no less than 8 pages.
V.Submission Requirements
(A) Animation Category
1.Animated feature films and short films must provide the full film and a trailer (within 30 seconds). For animated series, provide any two full episodes and a trailer (within 30 seconds).
2.File format must be high-definition playable files MOV (Codec: H.264 or ProRes422) or MP4; resolution no lower than 1920x1080. DCP files are not accepted.
3.Animation scripts must provide the full script and a story synopsis within 500 words, description of main character settings, etc.
4.Electronic version of the entry form (Attachment, must be filled out completely as required).
5.Director’s photo and biography (300dpi, Chinese or English).
6.One poster (300dpi, jpg format).
7.Five screenshots (300dpi, jpg format).
8.Trailer (MOV or MP4 format).
9.If the original work's dialogue is not in Chinese or English, submit a Chinese or English dialogue text.
(B) Comic Category
1.Image-based works: Hand-drawn manuscripts should be scanned into electronic copies for submission; digital paintings can be submitted directly. Submission image format requirements: Width range: 1280px (pixels), Height range: The height of a single uploaded image must not exceed 15000px (pixels); Image format: png/jpg, resolution 300dpi, single image size within 60MB.
2.Script-based works: Must include a complete story outline plan, character design information, and world view setting.
3.Electronic version of the entry form (Attachment, must be filled out completely as required).

VII. Registration and Deadline
(A) Registration
All entries must provide the required materials. The entry form must be signed. If submitted by an organization, the official seal of the submitting unit is required, and a scanned copy must be submitted.

VIII. Copyright and Other Statements
1.The entries submitted by participants must not infringe upon the patent rights, copyrights, trademark rights, reputation rights, or any other legitimate rights and interests of any third party. Relevant legal matters and disputes arising therefrom shall be borne by the participant.
2.Participants must guarantee that their entries are original, and that they are the sole and exclusive owners and rights holders of the submitted work, thereby having the right to submit the work to this competition. Participants agree that their participation will not:
(1) Infringe upon any third party's proprietary rights, intellectual property rights, industrial property rights, personal rights, or other rights, including but not limited to copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, or confidentiality obligations.
(2) Otherwise violate applicable laws of any country in the world.
3.The copyright of the entries belongs to the participant or their organization. The organizing committee has the right to use the entries (without further notice or remuneration) under the following circumstances:
(1) For promotion and publication related to the competition and its activities.
(2) For release by designated and authorized media, and browsing on the official website.
(3) For the award ceremony.
4.During the competition period, participants are not restricted by the organizing committee from using the same work to participate in another similar competition or related commercial activities. However, if this conflicts with the regulations of other competition organizers or relevant institutions, all consequences arising therefrom shall be borne by the participant.
5.Entries should have positive themes, disseminate positive energy, and must not promote bloodshed, violence, pornography, religion, race, politics, etc.
6.Participants must ensure that the submitted works and related materials are true, accurate, and complete. If false information is provided, the organizing committee has the right to disqualify the entry and pursue relevant responsibilities.
7.Once submitted and confirmed, entries are considered contest entries and will not be returned.
