On July 16th, the groundbreaking ceremony for the Shuangyang Industry-Education Integration Campus of Jilin Animation Institute was held. Relevant leaders from the Shuangyang District Committee and Shuangyang District Government, including Jiang Nan, Deputy Secretary of the Shuangyang District Committee and District Mayor; Liu Liguo, Chairman of the Art Education Professional Committee of the China Private Education Association; and leaders of Jilin Animation Institute, such as Zheng Liguo, Chairman and President, Yue Wu, Secretary of the Committee, Liu Xin, Vice Chairman, and Liu Zhenhua, Executive President, attended the ceremony. Also present were directors of the Board of Directors, supervisors of the Board of Supervisors, and some teacher representatives of Jilin Animation Institute, as well as representatives of cadres and residents from the sub-district where the campus is located and principals of the construction units. Leaders of the school’s Board of Directors and Board of Supervisors, including Zheng Liguo and Liu Xin, laid the foundation for the Shuangyang Industry-Education Integration Campus. Zheng Liguo stated that the start of construction of the Shuangyang Industry-Education Integration Campus marks a crucial step for the school since it was approved as a "National-level Innovation and Entrepreneurship College Construction Unit" in 2022. It is a pioneering practice for the school to implement the national strategic arrangements of "strengthening the country through culture, education, science and technology, and talents"; a core support for achieving the strategic goal of "adhering to characteristic development, deepening industry-education integration, promoting the upgrading of innovation and entrepreneurship, building a national-level innovation and entrepreneurship college, and constructing a distinctive high-level application-oriented university"; a key measure to embody the school’s innovative gene of "creating new concepts and opening up new horizons"; and a solemn commitment to serving the comprehensive revitalization of Jilin, empowering the digital upgrading of the regional cultural industry, and cultivating new forces for the cultural and creative industry in the new era.

Located on the north bank of Shuangyang Lake, the campus spans both sides of the planned section of Shuangyang Avenue and is adjacent to Provincial Highway S001. Composed of two major areas—the North Campus and the East Campus—it covers a total area of approximately 2 square kilometers, including 85 hectares of educational construction land and the remaining area as ecological forest land for the campus environment. The campus features a well-rounded functional zoning, encompassing multiple components such as industry-education integration buildings for various majors, a comprehensive library building, a film and television shooting and post-production center, a physical effects center, an innovation practice workspace, a youth community, and a logistics support service center.
Zheng Liguo pointed out that the Shuangyang Industry-Education Integration Campus is a key initiative for Jilin Animation Institute to promote the comprehensive integration of the "talent chain, major chain, entrepreneurship chain, technology chain, industrial chain, and consumption chain," and it bears the school’s main development direction and strategic layout for the future. The start of this construction is a clarion call and a new starting point. The school will adhere to the highest standards, the strictest requirements, and the most pragmatic work style to ensure the project progresses safely, with high quality and efficiency. It will build the Shuangyang Industry-Education Integration Campus into a new growth driver that meets the requirements of the times, leads talent cultivation, aligns with industrial transformation, promotes industrial development, and drives new consumption.
