A Quarter-Century of Endeavor
Since its founding in 2000 at39 Pingquan Road, Changchun, Jilin, Jilin Animation Institute, as one of the pioneering explorers in China’s higher education in animation, has blazed a new trail in the field.
Over twenty-five years of perseverance, JAI has established itself as a high-level application-oriented university specializing in talent cultivation for the cultural and creative industries. Guided by its characteristic model ofintegrating education, research, and industry, the university has consistently strengthened discipline construction, advanced connotative development, and attached great importance to emerging interdisciplinary fields that merge art with cutting-edge technology.
By building a new ecosystem of compound talent cultivation and industry cluster development centered on “Education+,” the university has nurtured nearly60,000 graduates, who now shine across the global creative industries. They embody the school motto of“Self-respect, Self-strength, Innovation, and Creation”and the cultural core of“Innovation, Creation, Excellence, and Entrepreneurship.”
In the new era, the university focuses on the integrated innovation of technology and art, centering on “Animation Universe,” “Film and Television Industrialization,” and “Intelligent Bionic Machinery.” It is actively exploring the application of AI frontier technologies in teaching and industry practice, accelerating the development of the Shuangyang Industry–Education Integration Campus, and creating platforms that integrateeducation, culture, art, technology, market, and consumptionfor both research-based learning and entrepreneurship. Core Concept & Design
The anniversary logo centers on the number25, constructed with dynamic and vibrant geometric elements. It embodies the university’s innovation, artistry, structural sense, and digital media attributes as a higher institution specializing in animation, games, film, and design. It also symbolizes the convergence and integration of diverse disciplines, cultures, and achievements over the past 25 years.
Color System
The palette is rich, vivid, and lively, creating a festive and energetic atmosphere. It reflects the university’sdiverse disciplinary development, its inclusive academic environment, and the colorful creativity of faculty and students.
Each color also represents the15 teaching units, 32 programs, and five major disciplines, together forming the unique spiritual and cultural spectrum of JAI.
Theme Interpretation
“Expanding Horizons · Embracing the New”(拓界·向新而行) encapsulates the wisdom and courage of JAI’s 25 years of development, while signaling firm determination and a grand vision for the future.
“Expanding Horizons”illustrates the university’s persistent pioneering spirit: expanding the boundaries of education and disciplines, building interdisciplinary systems under industry–education integration, reshaping talent cultivation through university–enterprise collaboration, and transforming both “students and their works” into successful outcomes in the marketplace. These concrete actions testify to JAI’s 25 years of innovative progress and form the core pillar of its distinctive development.
“Embracing the New”envisions the future journey of the university, serving as its guiding principle. With fruitful educational outcomes and continuous innovation, JAI integrates innovation and entrepreneurship education into the entire talent cultivation process, invigorated by the tides of technology.
