Recently, the reality-themed filmWe Are Together, co-produced by the Jilin Animation Institute (JAI), has garnered successive success at international film festivals. Following its successful nominations for the "Golden Angel Award" at the 21st Chinese American Film Festival and the 4th Hong Kong Bauhinia International Film Festival, the film also secured the "Special Jury Award" at the 18th Pyongyang International Film Festival, making it a highly anticipated Chinese film in cross-cultural exchange.
The film is based on the public welfare initiative of Jiangsu Province supporting Qinghai, and showcases the journey of young doctor Shen Ziqing's aid to Qinghai, demonstrating humanitarian care and selfless great love that transcends geographical limitations. Jilin Animation Institute faculty and students, leveraging the practical model of “real projects, real execution,” injected youthful vitality and professional depth into the film, thus marking a splendid chapter of deep integration between artistic creation and professional teaching.
The filmWe Are Togetherwas jointly produced by multiple organizations, including Nantong Radio and Television Station, Hainan Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture Media Convergence Center, Qinghai Publishing and Media Group Co., Ltd., Jiangsu Happy Blue Ocean Film & Television Culture Co., Ltd., and Jilin Animation Institute. It was co-filmed/co-executed by Nanjing Radio and Television Group and other related entities.
Spanning the distance from the Jianghai Plain to the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, and moving from the classroom to the film set, the Jilin Animation Institute leveraged the film Close to Me, See You as a powerful nexus. Through the practice of Industry-Academia Integration, the institute has successfully forged a creative team possessing both artistic creativity and industry adaptability. Moving forward, the school will continue to deepen its philosophy of “integrating education with practice, and advancing academics alongside industry.” Guided by innovation and grounded in practice, JAI will drive educational innovation with an international perspective, hone creative abilities through cross-cultural collaboration, and contribute its strength to cultivating more high-caliber talent for Chinese cinema.
