China Digital and Intelligent Education Application Conference and 2026 Annual Academic Conference of the National Association for Computer Basic Education in Higher Education Institutions Held at Jilin Animation Institute

       From July 20 to 22, the China Digital and Intelligent Education Application Conference and the 2026 Annual Academic Conference of the National Association for Computer Basic Education in Higher Education Institutions were held at Jilin Animation Institute (JAI).Organized by the National Association for Computer Basic Education in Higher Education Institutions and hosted by JAI, the conference was themed "Empowering Education with Digital Intelligence and Deepening Integrated Application Scenarios." More than 400 participants, including leading scholars from China and abroad, university leaders and distinguished guests, experts from leading digital education enterprises, and frontline teachers from higher education institutions at various levels, attended the conference.Focusing on key topics such as the transformation of computer basic education in the era of artificial intelligence, curriculum restructuring, the development of digital and intelligent teaching materials, and collaborative talent development between universities and industry, the conference provided a high-level academic platform for dialogue and exchange among multiple stakeholders.

       Huang Xinyuan, President of the National Association for Computer Basic Education in Higher Education Institutions; Chen Mei, Second-Level Inspector of the Jilin Provincial Department of Education; and Zheng Liguo, Chairman and President of Jilin Animation Institute, delivered remarks at the opening ceremony. The ceremony was chaired by Li Chang, Secretary-General of the National Association for Computer Basic Education in Higher Education Institutions.

Chen Mei, Second-level Inspector of the Education Department of Jilin Province, Delivers Remarks

       Chen Mei noted that Jilin Province is firmly implementing the national strategy for education digitalization and responding closely to the needs of comprehensive revitalization and development in Northeast China in the new era. The province continues to deepen comprehensive reform in higher education and advance the digital transformation of education across the board. The education system in Jilin attaches great importance to computer general education and the development of the overall competencies and digital literacy of both faculty and students. It is promoting the deep interdisciplinary integration of digital technologies with academic disciplines and professional fields, while accelerating the development of an innovative, application-oriented, and interdisciplinary talent development system suited to the development of the digital economy and intelligent modern services.She noted that the conference focuses on cutting-edge issues in digital and intelligent education, providing an opportunity to discuss educational reform, jointly explore innovative approaches, and share high-quality outcomes. The conference will make a strong contribution to improving the quality and effectiveness of computer basic education in universities nationwide and advancing its continued innovation and development.

Zheng Liguo, Chairman of the Board and President of Jilin Animation Institute, Delivers Remarks

       Zheng Liguo stated that new-generation digital technologies such as large models, generative AI and agents are comprehensively reshaping the modes of knowledge production, innovative creation and industrial development, accelerating society's transition into an era of human-machine collaboration and integration of data and intelligence. Faced with the all-round transformation brought by artificial intelligence, universities have prioritized cultivating students’ computational thinking, intelligence thinking, interdisciplinary innovation and human-machine collaboration capabilities, guiding students to evolve from tool users to technology stewards and solvers of complex problems. Jilin Animation Institute looks forward to further deepening cooperation with the National Association of Computer Basic Education in Higher Education of China, peer universities and enterprises. We will build consensus, strengthen exchanges and pursue collaborative innovation to jointly establish an innovation and application base for computer education, deepen integration of industry and education, and promote co-development of courses and sharing of teaching resources. We will also set up a science and technology innovation center to advance the in-depth integration of technologies including computer science and artificial intelligence with artistic creation. Relying on Jilin Animation Institute's status as a construction entity of the National College of Innovation and Entrepreneurship and its Shuangyang Industry-Education Integration Campus, we will build multi-integrated scenarios covering content creation, immersive experience, innovation and entrepreneurship, popular science research and study, as well as cultural tourism consumption. This will provide an experimental field for innovative applications and a platform for innovation and entrepreneurship to advance the implementation of the digital and intelligent education strategy.

The Conference Venue

       The conference featured ten influential keynote speeches, bringing together academicians, university presidents and industry experts at home and abroad to share cutting-edge research findings and practical implementation experiences. To conclude the event, Wang Zhiqiang, Vice President of the Research Association, delivered a closing summary. He systematically reviewed the core viewpoints of the ten keynote reports delivered throughout the day and summarized five key consensus areas, including global AI development, undergraduate curriculum innovation, digital transformation of vocational education, the development of digital and intelligent teaching materials, and the integration of industry-education platforms. He called on all participating teachers to further advance teaching reform, embrace the philosophy of digital and intelligent education, translate the frontier achievements of the conference into classroom practice, empower teaching innovation, and facilitate the high-quality development of educational digitalization and scientific and technological talent cultivation.
