Recently, the Department of Higher Education of the Ministry of Education released the Public Notice on the Proposed List of National Planned Undergraduate Textbooks for General Higher Education during the 14th Five-Year Plan Period. The Fundamentals of Interaction Design (2nd Edition) edited by Professor Li Sida of Jilin Animation Institute (JAI) has been successfully selected.
A total of 3,404 national planned undergraduate textbooks were approved nationwide. JAI is one of only nine private undergraduate institutions whose textbooks made the list. This is another major breakthrough in the university’s textbook development, following the National First Prize for Textbook Construction Excellence and national vocational education planned textbooks under the 14th Five-Year Plan.

The selection is a key measure to implement the spirit of the 20th CPC National Congress and promote the development of independent knowledge, disciplinary, and teaching systems. It aims to select high-level textbooks that support the cultivation of high-quality talents.

The Fundamentals of Interaction Design (2nd Ed) by Professor Li Sida of JAI
Textbook construction is a fundamental project for education and talent development. In recent years, JAI has accelerated textbook system building and formed a three-tiered cultivation system: university-level – provincial-level – national-level. The university has developed 6 provincial 14th Five-Year Plan textbooks, 2 provincial vocational education textbooks, 1 provincial high-quality textbook, and 2 provincial key textbooks. It has signed 31 publishing contracts with five national key presses and published nearly 10 practical textbooks in animation, design, and comics.
In the future, JAI will continue to build high-level textbook teams and develop distinctive multi-form textbooks. The university will further promote its rapid, sound, distinctive, connotative, sustainable and high-quality development.
