From November 15th to 17th, the 62nd Higher Education Expo China (hereinafter referred to as “the Expo”), hosted by the China Association of Higher Education, was held grandly in Chongqing. Jilin Animation Institute, as one of the exhibiting units, comprehensively displayed its outstanding achievements in talent cultivation, innovation and entrepreneurship, and industry-education integration at the Expo. During the Expo, the “Second Forum on High-Quality Development of Higher Education” was also held, and Executive Vice President Liu Zhenhua was invited to attend the forum and delivered a keynote speech titled “Cultivating Talents in Cultural Creativity with the Characteristic of ‘Integration of Education, Research and Industry’.”

With the theme of “Integration of Vocational and General Education, Industry-Education Integration, and Science-Education Integration,” the Expo brought together nearly a hundred renowned universities and numerous related enterprises in the education field to jointly explore and envision new developments and opportunities in higher education. During the exhibition, Jilin Animation Institute fully demonstrated its unique “Integration of Education, Research and Industry” applied talent cultivation model, showcasing the school’s three major educational characteristics of “Integration of Education, Research and Industry,” “Openness and International Orientation,” and “Technicalization of Creative Products.” Through the full industry chain layout of the cultural and creative industries, the school has led teaching reforms with high-end market projects, deeply promoted the comprehensive integration of “education, culture, art, technology, and the market,” and promoted high-quality output of “students” and “works,” achieving fruitful results. This attracted the keen attention of numerous participants.
At the Expo site, Jilin Animation Institute’s booth showcased award-winning animated short films created by teachers and students, including “Flying Apsaras,” “Little Chicken Wants to Fly,” “ I Saw Mice Burying a Cat ,” and “10 000 Ugly Inkblots,” which have won awards at home and abroad. It also displayed animated film series such as “Frog Kingdom,” “Zap’s Last Stand,” and “The New Match Girl: Freya,” as well as live-action + CG special effects films like “Battle of Mountains and Seas” and “Shadow of Legends,” and movie works such as “Dream Gate” and “Dragon Inn.” Additionally, a series of cultural and creative derivative products based on the IP of the animated film “Frog Kingdom” were also exhibited, which were loved and recognized by the participants. These works fully demonstrated the school’s strong capabilities in cultivating talents through the full industry chain layout of the cultural and creative industries and reflected the school’s active exploration and remarkable achievements in industry-education integration and innovation and entrepreneurship education. This effectively enhanced the school’s social reputation and industry influence.

During the Expo, Liu Xuejun, Deputy Director-General of the Jilin Provincial Department of Education, led a team to visit Jilin Animation Institute’s booth for guidance, gaining a detailed understanding of the school’s development achievements in recent years and the projects exhibited at the Expo. Liu Xuejun fully affirmed Jilin Animation Institute’s achievements in talent cultivation, innovation and entrepreneurship education, and industry-education integration. He encouraged the school to continue to leverage its own advantages and make greater contributions to promoting the development of China’s higher education.
This Expo not only provided a platform for universities to showcase their strengths and characteristics but also built a bridge for promoting inter-university exchanges and cooperation.
