Recently, Professor Dong-Hyuk Choi, Chair of the Department of Film and Animation at Dongseo University, Korea, along with Assistant Professor Jun-Seok Lee, visited Jilin Animation Institute (JAI) for academic exchange. A series of collaborative activities were conducted, including an academic lecture, a joint project seminar, and a faculty discussion session with the School of Animation Art. During their visit, Executive President Liu Zhenhua presented Professor Dong-Hyuk Choi with a Guest Professor Appointment Certificate.

Professor Choi delivered an academic lecture titled "Classic Cases and Industry Trends of Artificial Intelligence Technology in Animation Production". Faculty and students from the School of Animation Art attended the session. Professor Choi shared his insights on topics such as "Challenges and Opportunities in the AI Era," "Student-created animated short films using AI technology," "The core of GAN technology and AI realization models," "Opportunities for rapid AI development," and "The extensive use of AI in content creation." He emphasized that in the era of artificial intelligence, animation professionals and students can achieve success by continuously improving their expertise and creativity.

Following the lecture, the two institutions held a seminar on the joint production of a 3D animated short film titled "Between Light and Shadow". Representatives from both schools conducted an in-depth discussion on script development, exchanging ideas on character design, artistic style, and technical aspects of the film. This collaborative dialogue significantly advanced the progress of the project. The exchange of ideas during the seminar injected creative inspiration into the short film, enriching its concept and vision.

During the faculty discussion session, teachers from both institutions explored the theme "The Application of AI Technology in Korean Animation and the Integration of Art and Technology". JAI representatives introduced the overall structure of the institute's animation program, providing the Korean delegation with a deeper understanding of the school’s related disciplines. Faculty members from both sides shared their views on key topics, including curriculum development, practical teaching methods, and AI technology applications. These discussions proved to be insightful and productive.
