In 2018, the results from 2018 China Alumni Art University Majors Ranking of  ARISHEN China Alumni Association Network show that Animation major of Jilin Animation Institute ranks No.1 in Six Stars among China Art Institute.

  In May 2018, 2018 China University Evaluation and Research Report---Chinese College Application Handbook (alumni version) composed by Cuaa. Net and published by Science Press assessed systematically and objectively on 1,325 universities of their comprehensive power, and then an overall ranking of 833 national universities and 265 independent colleges and 152 private universities including 12 subjects, 92 majors and 500 major rankings of undergraduate level and also municipal universities from 31 provinces and cities.

  The study shows that JAI ranks No.1 in Six Stars in Chinese Art Universities and was elected top private university in China. Meanwhile, Digital Media Techniques Major in JAI ranks No.1 in Five Stars, Drawing Major ranks No.1 in Five Stars and Visual Communication Design Major ranks No.3 in Five Stars.

  Founded in June 2000, JAI was authorized in 2008 as a Private Common University and then after a 18-year development and construction, JAI was pioneered and was approved by Educational Administrations as National Specialized Major. During these years, JAI has continuously promoted and cultivated talents in animation major and meanwhile has pushed forward original animation works and creation. JAI has won over 150 awards including Golden Monkey Awards, Japan Hiroshima Animation Best Film Award, etc. Students graduated from JAI has been warmly welcomed and greatly received as high-quality talents and are highly praised.
