On 11^th October, 2018, works designed by fourteen students including Zhang Shuning, Tao Sihang from Xuxin Master Workshop in the Visual Communication major of Design School of JAI won the 12^th Korea Sangju Traditional Silk International Fashion Festival Special Contribution Award. The scarf Changes of Four Seasons designed by Wang Yipeng won the Sangju Mayor Special Award.

Certificate of Four Seasons' Changes

  The Four Seasons Changes theme on the changing of spring, summer, autumn and winter, in which plane formation designed by contrast of colors, size, direction expressed a natural prospect of seasonal cycle.

  The most outstanding feature of this work lies in its color expression and application in which lime and emerald green represent spring and summer, yellow, orange and red represents autumn, and white leaves represent winter. Meanwhile those colors accurately express the transition of seasons and different emotions. For example greenish scheme shows youth and energy, reddish scheme shows enthusiasm and advance and white scheme shows steady and quietness. On the whole this work is full of colors and emotions and an extraordinary design accompanied with art style and humanity.

The Special Contribution Award on the 12^th  Korea Sangju Traditional Silk International Fashion Festival

  These works were finished under the direction of professor Xu Xin and Liu Xuesong. Combining with graphs, new innovation, dimension and fashion, these works provide students with a realistic reversion from designing into producing.

  This festival was co-held by Sangju City, Design Laboratory of Kyungpook National University, Gyeongsangbuk-do, Fiber Fashion Design School of Kyungpook National University, Cooperation Union Branch of Kyungpook National University, Sangju Silk Forum, Korean Textile Design Association, Korean Silk Association, Korean Design and Research Financial Group, Korean Fiber Technical Association. This exhibition themed on expressing dreams and emotions and has attracted undergraduates and postgraduates to attend.

  With an active cooperation and communication of JAI International Cooperation and Forum Office, students from our institute has been going abroad. This cooperation represents our long-held specialty of encourage students to learn, research and produce at the same time to realize a integration, innovation and high-tech college. After this exhibition, we will go on encouraging students to involve in competitions from domestic and abroad.
