On July 2^nd , 2018, the 3^rd Jilin Animation Institute Foreign Languages Festival(FLF) for college students was held in the center of culture and art. FLF was hosted by Jilin Animation Institute, organized by the School of International Exchange, and co-organized by Students' Association Union. Mrs. Xiaoyan Wang, Vice President and Dean of School of International Exchange, Mr. Xin Jin, President’s Assistant and Head of Student Affairs, Mrs. Zhen Chen, editor of Dynamic World , Dahang Liu, the dubbing expert from School of Television and New Media, Xiaoyu Liu, Dean’s Assistant of School of Animation Art, Jun Wang, executive Vice Dean of School of International Exchange, Mr. Donghua Liu, Vice Dean of School of International Exchange, and more than 1000 teachers and students participated in the activity.

FLF has received positive response from domestic students and foreign students. More than 200 students signed up for the festival. After a series of selection, 54 players came to the fore, showing a wonderful foreign languages performance.

FLF was hosted by five Chinese teachers and students in both Chinese and English, and two Korean students in Chinese and Korean. In addition to performing English, Japanese, French and Korean songs, the students also presented English speeches, English short plays, English dubbing and the Chinese traditional cultural display performed by the foreign students and so on.

The performance showed the excellent languages skills of Chinese and foreign students, demonstrating a feast for the audience. It provided a stage for our students to realize their dreams. At the same time, it also made students to comprehend more about the profound and long history of Chinese traditional culture and the world's classics. Moreover, it embodies that JAI has fruitful achievements in the exchanges between China and foreign countries. After a fierce competition, there were 11 top prizes, 43 first prizes and 10 outstanding teachers.

The 3rd Jilin Animation Institute Foreign Languages Festival, with the theme of "feeling the beauty of languages, promoting the development of ability", combined languages learning with professional practice to mobilize and promote students' enthusiasm for learning foreign languages, speaking foreign languages and using foreign languages. The FLF fully embodied our schooling characteristics of “Openness and International Orientation", and contributed to the training of more applied foreign languages talents in our school.
